L. M. Kugler was born to two loving parents, but before she turned two years old, her father was diagnosed with schizophrenia, changing the trajectory of her whole life. In many ways, her father also became her first child. In an effort to understand what was going on in her family, Lisa went to school and studied Psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She is not a clinician, but rather an educator and researcher, opting to focus on the statistical and social science side of psychology. After graduation, Lisa went on to teach High School and the occasional adjunct college course. She currently lives with her husband, daughter, mother, and cat in rural Georgia. When not advocating for mental illness awareness, she is advocating for disability rights as her daughter was born with spina bifida. Beyond that, Lisa simply takes joy in the small things and she hopes you find something here to make you smile.
